One tumbled down and hit his head
Mama phoned the doctor, and the doctor replied,

One slipped off and bumped his head
Mama rang the doctor, and the doctor declared,

Three small monkeys jumping on the bed
One took a fall and knocked his head
Mama reached the doctor, and the doctor advised,

Two playful monkeys hopping on the bed
One lost balance and bonked his head
Mama consulted the doctor, and the doctor insisted,

One last monkey leaping on the bed
He took a spill and cracked his head
Mama called the doctor, and the doctor commanded,
“Put those monkeys straight to bed!”
