A smooth, nutrient-rich puree perfect for your little one! This simple blend is creamy, naturally sweet, and easy to digest. Best served as a puree from 6 months, then mashed after 7 months for texture adaptation.
Ingredients:
- 1 small apple
- 1 small pear (preferably golden/yellow variety)
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 tbsp water/formula milk/breast milk (optional)
Method:
- Prep the Fruits: Wash the apple and pear thoroughly. Remove the skin and seeds, then cut into small pieces.
- Prepare Banana: Peel and slice the banana, removing any dark spots if preferred.

- Serve Fresh: Offer immediately to preserve freshness and nutrients.

Tips & Notes:
- Color Variation: The color of the puree may vary slightly depending on the types of apple and banana you use.
- No Cooking Needed: To retain maximum nutrients, serve raw. However, lightly steaming apple and pear is an option.
- Storage: Avoid keeping the puree for long—serve fresh for best quality.
- Allergy Check: Introduce one ingredient at a time and consult a pediatrician before starting new foods.
- Hygiene: Always sterilize feeding bowls and utensils for baby’s safety.
Why Pears Are Great for Babies
Pears are packed with vitamins, antioxidants, fiber, and minerals like iron, magnesium, and vitamin C. They’re gentle on digestion, low in calories, and rarely cause allergies. The fiber helps relieve constipation, making them ideal for little tummies.
Selecting the Best Pear:
- Choose firm (not hard) pears that slightly yield to gentle pressure.
- Steer clear of very soft pears, as they could be past their prime or spoiled.
- Ripening Tip: Pears ripen from the inside out. Store at room temperature until ready, then refrigerate if needed.
